The SS3191 ring nail is made in AISI 304 stainless steel and consists of a pointed shank carrying a ring. Five sizes are listed by D: 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8 mm. L runs from 25 to 45 mm and B from 35 to 40 mm, and the weight per piece for each size is 10 g, 16 g, 25 g, 50 g and 90 g.
Driven into timber, a ring nail gives a fast fixing point for tying light ropes and cords, hanging tools, stringing garden and trellis lines, or securing tarpaulins and nets to posts and beams. Stainless steel avoids the rust staining that uncoated steel leaves on outdoor timber. For anything that needs a secure fixing, a through-bolted ring (SS3193) or lag-screw ring bolt (SS3192) holds better than a driven nail, and no load rating is given for this item.
