Private Label Safety Hardware Manufacturer
Carabiners, snap hooks, D-rings and rigging hardware made in Taiwan under your brand — from proven catalogue parts through to fully custom OEM/ODM on your own tooling.
A private label safety hardware manufacturer makes load-bearing hardware — carabiners, snap hooks, D-rings, buckles and rigging components — that another company sells under its own brand. Power Honour is a Taiwan OEM/ODM manufacturer with more than 30 years in safety hardware, working under an ISO 9001 quality system. Brands work with us by one of three routes: their name on proven catalogue parts; catalogue parts modified in finish, colour, gate type or marking; or fully custom parts on their own tooling. We manufacture to CE EN, UIAA and ANSI/ASSP Z359 requirements, and certification testing is carried out by the accredited laboratory or notified body the brand selects.
Three routes to your own line
A private label range rarely sits on one route. Most brands fill out the range with catalogue parts under their own name, adapt the parts customers handle most, and keep fully custom tooling for the products that define the brand. Each route trades speed and up-front commitment against how much of the part is yours alone.
Your name on proven catalogue parts
Choose parts already in production. We laser mark your brand and the marking the standard requires, pack to your artwork and supply the parts under your name. No new tooling is cut and the part already has a production history behind it.
- Time to market
- Shortest of the three
- Up-front commitment
- Lowest — no tooling
- Exclusivity
- None — the geometry is not yours alone
Modified catalogue parts
Start from a catalogue part and change what the customer sees and handles: anodised colour or plating, gate type — screw-lock, twist-lock or triple-lock — and the content of the marking. A new gate changes the parts of the connector the standard tests, so expect re-testing; whether a cosmetic change needs assessment is a question for your certification body.
- Time to market
- Moderate
- Up-front commitment
- Moderate — samples, and re-testing where needed
- Exclusivity
- Partial — the look is yours, the base geometry is not
Fully custom OEM/ODM
A part built to your drawing (OEM), or developed with us from a load case and a concept (ODM), on tooling made for it. Development, prototypes, tooling and certification testing all come first, and the result is a part that sits in no one else’s range.
- Time to market
- Longest of the three
- Up-front commitment
- Highest — tooling, prototypes and testing
- Exclusivity
- Full, on terms you agree in writing
The difference between OEM and ODM is covered on our About page. Importers and distributors weighing a stocking programme against their own brand will find the same routes set out from their side on our distributors page.
What your brand controls
On a private label product your name is on the part and on the box, so the decisions that face the end user are yours. We make the hardware; you decide how it is presented.
Your brand name, logo placement and colourways, within what the finishing process can hold consistently from lot to lot.
What is laser marked on the part — your name alongside the fields the governing standard requires. You sign off the marking artwork before production.
Retail packaging, bags, cartons, labels and barcodes to your artwork and your channel’s requirements.
The instructions and warnings that ship with the product. Their content is yours as the company placing the product on the market; we supply the technical data they depend on.
Marking, certification and confidentiality
Your name, plus what the standard requires
Laser marking puts your brand name on the part together with what the governing standard requires to appear — typically the standard reference and strength ratings, and, depending on the standard, identification that ties the part to its production batch. The required fields differ between EN 362, EN 12275, UIAA 121 and ANSI/ASSP Z359.12, so we lay the marking out from the standard and market you name.
Tested by the body you select
We manufacture to CE EN standards, UIAA methods and ANSI/ASSP Z359. Certificates are issued to your brand by the accredited laboratory or notified body you select — not by us. For fall-arrest PPE sold in the EU, that means EU type-examination by a notified body and ongoing production surveillance. What we supply is production-representative samples, material and process records, and the test data the technical file rests on.
NDA before drawings
We sign your NDA before you share drawings or concept work. If exclusivity on a custom geometry matters to you — and for most brands it does — write it into the development agreement alongside tooling ownership, so neither point depends on memory.
Selling into the US or Canada? Our North America page sets out the OSHA, ANSI/ASSP Z359 and CSA Z259 framework your product will be judged against.
How a private label programme runs
The same six stages apply whichever route a part takes; a catalogue part with your marking simply moves through them faster than a custom one.
- 01
Discovery
Your range, markets, standards and target volumes — and which of the three routes fits each part.
- 02
Solution mapping
Material, forming route and finish for each part, with a DFM review of any drawing.
- 03
Prototype
Samples with your marking and finish, for fit, feel and artwork approval.
- 04
Validation
Production-representative samples to the laboratory or notified body you select.
- 05
Production
Lots made to the approved sample, with batch records kept against each lot.
- 06

- What is the difference between private label, OEM and ODM?
- Private label usually means your brand on a product the manufacturer already makes. OEM means the manufacturer builds a part to your drawing. ODM means the manufacturer develops the part with you from a concept or a load case. Power Honour works all three ways, and many brands combine them: private label on catalogue parts to fill out a range, and custom OEM or ODM parts for the lines that define the brand.
- Can you put our brand name on carabiners and snap hooks?
- Yes. We laser mark your brand name together with the marking the governing standard requires, such as the standard reference and strength ratings. Because the required fields differ between EN 362, EN 12275, UIAA 121 and ANSI/ASSP Z359.12, we lay out the marking from the standard and market you name, and you approve the artwork before production.
- Who holds the certification for a private label product?
- The brand that places the product on the market. Under Regulation (EU) 2016/425, a company that has PPE manufactured and markets it under its own name or trademark is the manufacturer in law and carries the manufacturer’s obligations. In the United States, brands typically have products tested to the relevant ANSI/ASSP Z359 standard by a laboratory they select. We manufacture to the standard and supply samples, records and test data; we do not issue certificates.
- Who owns the tooling for a custom part?
- That should be agreed in writing before any tooling is cut. A good agreement covers who owns the tooling, who maintains and stores it, what happens to it if production moves, and whether the geometry is exclusive to you. We would rather settle those points at the start than leave them to an email thread later.
- Will you sign an NDA before we share drawings?
- Yes. We sign your NDA before you share drawings, concept sketches or specifications. Send it with your first enquiry and we will return it signed before any technical discussion begins.
- What is the minimum order for private label hardware?
- It depends on the route. Marking and packing catalogue parts under your brand needs no new tooling, so the economics start lower than a custom part, which carries tooling, development and certification testing costs that have to be spread across volume. We quote against the specific parts, route and annual volume rather than a single figure.
Tell us what should carry your name
Send a part list, a sample or a drawing, with the markets you sell into and the standards you need. We will come back with the route that fits each part — catalogue, modified or custom — and what each one involves. We sign your NDA first.
