SS625-AP Stainless Steel Cable Grab with Anti-Panic System

The SS625-AP adds an anti-panic system to the SS625 cable grab. Anti-panic functions are intended to make the fall arrester lock even if a falling climber instinctively grabs the device, which would otherwise risk holding it open. The body is stainless steel with a self-colored standard finish, and the grab is offered for Ø 8 mm or Ø 10 mm wire. It is listed as meeting EN 353-2, which covers guided type fall arresters on a flexible anchor line.

In use, the grab travels with the climber along the vertical wire and connects to the harness front attachment point, locking on the line if a fall occurs. It suits fixed ladders on towers, turbines, masts and industrial structures, and via ferrata ladders. A version with double anti-panic is listed as the SS625-AP-EC.
