Product details

The SA01 combines a stainless steel body with a polyurethane (PU) element and is made to fit lifelines using 8 mm wire rope. It is listed in the ladder vertical lifeline range; later variants in the same family are the SA02, also PU-based, and the SA03 and SA04, which use a stainless steel spring instead of PU.

An in-line shock absorber gives the cable a controlled amount of compliance, so that when a fall is arrested the peak load reaching the top anchor, ladder and supporting structure is reduced. This matters on fixed ladders mounted to towers, masts, silos, tanks and building facades, where the structure may not be designed for high point loads.

Buyers should request the activation load, stroke and dimensions of the SA01 and confirm the absorber against the system calculation. Lifeline performance depends on the whole system, so the design, installation and periodic inspection should be carried out by a competent person to the standard that applies where it is installed. The SA01 can be supplied as OEM or private-label product, or adapted to a drawing.
