The 7101A is a single-size Grade 80 connecting fitting. Its 8-8 designation indicates use with 8 mm Grade 8 chain, and it is rated at a working load limit of 2 ton with a net weight of 0.61 kg. As with the rest of the range, the minimum breaking load is four times the WLL.
Connecting fittings are used to join chain to hooks, master links and attachments when making up or repairing lifting assemblies, or to connect chain to equipment.
