Product details

Adjusting leg length without cutting the chain is the job of the 7000A shortener link. The size table starts at 6-8, rated at 1.2 ton and weighing 0.21 kg, and continues through 7/8-8 (2.0 ton), 10-8 (3.2 ton), 13-8 (5.4 ton), 16-8 (8.2 ton) and 20-8 (12.5 ton) to 22-8, rated at 15.0 ton with a net weight of 8.50 kg. Minimum breaking load is four times the working load limit.

A shortener lets the rigger take up chain to level an unbalanced load, set different leg lengths on a multi-leg sling, or reduce headroom. It is fitted between the master link and the legs or within a leg, depending on the design. Uses include construction, precast and machinery lifting. The 7000A is lifting hardware, not fall protection equipment.

Buyers should state the chain size and grade and where in the sling the shortener will sit. The link can be produced as OEM or private label, or adapted to a drawing.
