Product details
The 6500A brings the self-locking principle to metric Grade 80 chain from 6 mm to 22 mm. The 6-8 hook is rated at 1.2 ton and weighs 0.45 kg; 7/8-8 at 2.0 ton; 10-8 at 3.2 ton; 13-8 at 5.4 ton; 16-8 at 8.2 ton; 18/20-8 at 12.5 ton; and 22-8 at 15.0 ton with a net weight of 16.00 kg. Minimum breaking load is four times the working load limit.
Because the latch closes and locks automatically and stays locked until the operator presses the release trigger, a self-locking hook stays closed even if the sling goes slack or the hook is knocked against the load. That makes it a common choice for chain slings in construction, steel erection, shipyards and heavy maintenance. The clevis pins straight onto the chain. The 6500A is lifting hardware, not fall protection equipment.
Buyers should confirm chain diameter and grade, throat opening for the lifting points in use, and any marking or test documentation. The 6500A can be produced as OEM or private label, or adapted to a drawing.
