Product details
North American chain sizes and pound ratings define the 6200A eye self-locking hook. The 1/4 in hook has a working load limit of 4500 lb and weighs 1.81 kg; the 3/8 in is rated at 7100 lb and 3.24 kg; the 1/2 in at 12000 lb and 5.96 kg; and the 5/8 in at 18100 lb and 12.75 kg. Minimum breaking load is four times the WLL.
As on other self-locking hooks, the latch closes and locks automatically and stays locked until the operator presses the release trigger. The eye end joins a connecting link, master link or wire rope thimble, giving flexibility in how the hook is fitted to chain or rope slings. Typical uses are construction lifting, steel erection, industrial maintenance and rigging where a standard latch is not considered secure enough. The 6200A is lifting hardware, not fall protection equipment.
Buyers should specify chain trade size and grade, the connector for the eye, and any marking required for their market. The 6200A can be produced as OEM or private label, or adapted to a drawing.
