The 044A eye sling hook with latch has published drawing dimensions for five chain sizes. For 7+8 mm chain it measures L 98 mm, B 27 mm, E 25 mm and G 18 mm and is rated at 2.0 ton. The 10 mm hook (L 122 mm) is rated at 3.2 ton, the 13 mm (L 152 mm) at 5.4 ton, and the 16 mm, measuring L 184 mm, B 49 mm and G 32 mm, at 8.0 ton. A 6 mm size measuring L 80 mm is also available, with its rating confirmed on request. Minimum breaking load is four times the WLL.
The eye end connects to chain through a connecting link, or to a master link or thimble, and the latch helps retain a slack sling. These hooks are used on chain and wire rope slings for construction, logistics and plant lifting. The 044A is lifting hardware, not fall-arrest equipment.
Buyers should state chain size and grade and the eye connector. The 044A can be supplied as OEM or private label.
