With nine sizes, the 0500A is the broadest pear link in this Grade 80 range. The 1/2 in link is rated at 7000 lb and weighs 0.25 lb; 3/4 in is rated at 12300 lb, 1 in at 24360 lb and 1-1/4 in at 36000 lb. At the top of the table, the 1-1/2 in link carries 54300 lb at a net weight of 6.50 lb. Every size is specified with a minimum breaking load of four times the working load limit.
The pear shape puts a wide bow on the crane hook and a narrower end under the sling, helping the load hang centrally. Pear links are used as top links on single-leg chain or wire rope slings and as connectors in rigging, towing and material handling. The 0500A is lifting hardware, not fall-arrest equipment.
Buyers should check the inside dimensions against the crane hook and the chain or rope fitting it will carry. The link can be supplied under OEM or private label, or modified to a drawing.
