The welded 1100A D-ring is offered in four sizes. The 14-8 ring is rated at 2.5 ton with a net weight of 0.3 kg, the 17-8 at 4.0 ton and 0.5 kg, the 19-8 at 6.5 ton and 0.7 kg, and the 22-8 at 8.0 ton and 1.0 kg. Each carries a minimum breaking load of four times its working load limit.
D-rings of this kind provide a defined connection point on lifting frames, spreader beams, containers, trailers or equipment, where the straight side of the D seats a hook, shackle or strap. They are lifting and rigging components, and the 1100A should not be used as fall-arrest anchorage.
When specifying, give the WLL needed, the mounting method and whether a retaining clip or weld-on bracket is part of the scope. Load direction matters, so state if the ring will be pulled at an angle to its plane. The 1100A can be manufactured as OEM or private-label hardware, and a forged alternative is listed as the 1200A.
