For heavier multi-leg slings, the 1400A master link assembly extends the range well beyond the 1500A. The 3/4 in assembly is rated at 4.1 ton and weighs 1.68 kg, the 1 in at 8.4 ton, the 1-1/4 in at 14.1 ton and the 1-1/2 in at 21.3 ton. The largest 1-3/4 in size carries a working load limit of 33.3 ton at a net weight of 19.50 kg. Each size is specified with a minimum breaking load of four times the WLL.
An assembly of this type gathers several chain or wire rope legs onto one link that sits on the crane hook. It is used for heavy plant, steel fabrications, offshore and shipyard lifts and similar overhead work. The 1400A is lifting hardware, not fall protection equipment.
Before ordering, confirm the crane hook size, the number and size of legs, and the leg angles the sling will be used at. The assembly can be produced under OEM or private label, or adapted to a drawing.
