The 043A clevis sling hook with latch is published with drawing dimensions for four chain sizes. For 7+8 mm chain the hook measures L 87 mm, B 26 mm, E 9 mm and G 19.4 mm and is rated at 2.0 ton. The 10 mm size measures L 104 mm and G 23.0 mm at 3.2 ton, the 13 mm size L 127 mm and G 29.0 mm at 5.4 ton, and the 16 mm size L 150 mm, B 54 mm and G 33.0 mm at 8.0 ton. Minimum breaking load is four times the working load limit.
With a clevis, the hook is pinned straight onto the end link of the chain, and the latch closes the throat to help keep a slack sling or lifting eye in place. This is the most common bottom fitting on Grade 8 chain slings for construction, manufacturing, logistics and maintenance. The 043A is lifting hardware and should not be used for personal fall protection.
Buyers should confirm chain diameter and grade, the throat opening G required and any marking needs. The 043A can be produced under OEM or private label, or adapted to a drawing.
