Product details
The 042A is a Grade 8 clevis grab hook. Its size table, load ratings and weights are supplied on request, so buyers should ask for the current drawing and rating table before specifying it. Comparable grab hooks with published data in this range are the 041A eye grab hook, covering 7+8 mm to 22 mm chain, and the inch-sized 8100A clevis grab hook.
A clevis grab hook pins directly onto the end link of a chain without a connecting link, and its narrow throat slips over a link elsewhere in the chain to shorten a leg, form an adjustable loop or secure a load. Applications include chain slings, load securing, forestry and towing chains. As a lifting and rigging component, the 042A is not designed for personal fall protection.
In an RFQ, give the chain diameter and grade, the working load limit required and any marking or certificate needs. The 042A can be supplied as OEM or private-label hardware, or produced to a customer drawing.
