0400A Weldless Pear-Shaped Link
The 0400A (Art. No. 0400A) is a weldless pear-shaped link for rigging and lifting assemblies. Eight sizes are listed from 3/8 in to 1-3/8 in, with working load limits from 1600 lb to 20500 lb and a minimum breaking load of six times the WLL.

Product details
Made without a weld seam, the 0400A pear-shaped link is rated with a design factor of six: its minimum breaking load is six times the working load limit. The 3/8 in size carries 1600 lb and weighs 0.23 lb, the 1/2 in carries 2900 lb, the 3/4 in 6000 lb and the 1 in 10800 lb. The largest 1-3/8 in link is rated at 20500 lb with a net weight of 11.50 lb.
Pear links seat their wide end on a hook and gather a sling, rope or chain at the narrow end, which makes them useful as end links on wire rope and chain assemblies, in towing and mooring set-ups and in general rigging. The 0400A is not fall protection equipment.
