Six chain sizes are covered by the 041A eye grab hook, each with drawing dimensions. The 7+8 mm hook measures L 51 mm, B 10 mm and E 10 mm and has a working load limit of 2.0 ton. Ratings step up through 10 mm (L 71 mm, 3.2 ton), 13 mm (L 88 mm, 5.4 ton), 16 mm (L 102 mm, 8.0 ton) and 20 mm (L 124 mm, 12.5 ton) to 22 mm, which measures L 139 mm, B 27 mm and E 26 mm and is rated at 15.0 ton. Minimum breaking load is four times the WLL.
The narrow throat of a grab hook seats over a chain link, so the hook is used to shorten a leg, secure the free end of a chain or make up an adjustable loop. The eye end connects through a connecting link. Uses include chain slings, load securing, forestry and towing. The 041A is rigging hardware and is not intended for personal fall protection.
Buyers should match the hook to the chain diameter and grade. The 041A can be produced as OEM or private label, or adapted to a drawing.
