Two chain sizes are covered by the 047A choke link. For 7+8 mm chain, the link measures L 68 mm, B 27 mm, E 10 mm and G 11.9 mm, with a working load limit of 2.0 ton. For 10 mm chain it measures L 71 mm, B 27 mm, E 15 mm and G 12.7 mm, rated at 3.2 ton. Minimum breaking load is four times the WLL, and the letter dimensions refer to the product drawing.
A choke link allows a chain leg to be wrapped around a load and drawn tight, gripping bundles of logs, pipe, bar or timber. It is used in forestry, construction and steel handling, and pairs with the 046A choke hook in the same range. Choker hitches reduce a sling's rated capacity compared with a straight lift. The 047A is lifting hardware, not fall protection equipment.
