A2550TL carries the same listed strengths as A2550SG, 25 kN major axis, 7 kN minor axis and 7 kN gate open, but uses a twist-lock gate. It weighs 80 g and opens to 19 mm.
A twist-lock sleeve rotates back and locks on release, so every closure is a locked closure. That removes the most common misuse of screw-gate carabiners, a sleeve left undone, and is the reason twist-lock connectors are widely fitted to lanyards, work-positioning systems, rescue equipment and rope-access kits. The D-style frame shown in the dimension drawing keeps the load aligned with the spine.
The A2550 family also includes the non-locking A2550KNS and the screw-gate A2550SG. When sending an enquiry, include the standard and market the finished part must comply with, the sleeve action, the colour and marking. Power Honour can manufacture A2550TL as an OEM or private-label connector and can adapt the gate or frame to a customer drawing.
