A716KNS Aluminium Key-Lock Straight-Gate Carabiner

A716KNS shares the 105 x 60 mm aluminium alloy frame and 50 g weight of A716KNB but uses a straight solid gate that opens to 20 mm. Rated strengths are 23 kN major axis, 7 kN minor axis and 7 kN gate open.

A straight gate is less likely than a bent gate to be levered open by a bolt hanger, which is why it is the usual choice for the bolt end of a quickdraw. It is also a practical racking carabiner for cams, nuts and other equipment. The key-lock nose clears hangers and slings cleanly when the carabiner is removed.

Combine A716KNS with A716KNB on the rope end for a matched quickdraw, or with the screw-gate A716KSG for a locker in the same style.
