A2448PTL Aluminium Twist-Lock Carabiner with Hook Nose

A2448PTL is the twist-lock counterpart of A2448PSG. It has an aluminium alloy body with a hook-type nose, a 20 mm gate opening, a weight of 90 g and strengths of 22 kN major axis, 8 kN minor axis and 8 kN gate open.

The twist-lock sleeve springs back and locks whenever it is released, so the gate is secured without a separate action from the user. That is why twist-lock connectors are common on work-positioning and restraint lanyards, rescue kits and rope-access equipment. The hook nose is a robust, traditional design, but it can catch on slings or hangers more readily than a key-lock nose; consider the A2550 or A740 key-lock models if that matters for your product.
