A2448PSG Aluminium Screw-Gate Carabiner

A2448PSG is listed in aluminium alloy with a screw gate, a 20 mm gate opening and a weight of 90 g. Its stated strengths are 22 kN along the major axis, 8 kN across the minor axis and 8 kN with the gate open.

At 90 g it sits at the heavier end of the aluminium lockers in this range. A screw sleeve gives the user direct control of locking and is easy to inspect visually, so this type of connector is often used for anchors, equipment attachment and set-ups that are built once and then checked.

A twist-lock version, A2448PTL, is listed with the same strength figures, opening and weight.
