A2550KNS Aluminium Key-Lock Straight-Gate Carabiner

A2550KNS is listed in aluminium alloy with strengths of 25 kN along the major axis, 9 kN across the minor axis and 9 kN with the gate open. The gate opens to 23 mm and the connector weighs 70 g.

The 9 kN gate-open and minor-axis figures are higher than those of many lightweight sport carabiners, and the larger body with a wide opening is easy to handle with gloves. That combination suits racking equipment on harnesses and gear loops, quickdraws for users who prefer a larger carabiner, and other climbing applications where a robust straight-gate model is wanted. The key-lock nose avoids snagging when unclipping.
