Product details
At 65 g, AB-034 is the lightest belay device in the Power Honour catalogue, slightly under the 70 g AB-030. The body is aluminium alloy, and the photograph shows a cup-shaped tube design with a wire keeper loop. The second image is a dimension drawing of the device.
Tube devices work by forcing the rope into a tight bend through the body and around the carabiner, so that a small force from the brake hand can hold a much larger load. They are standard equipment for climbing gyms, outdoor education providers and climbers who want a simple, light device for belaying and abseiling.
