AB-030 Aluminium Alloy Tube Belay Device

AB-030 is a compact tube-style belay device, as pictured, with an aluminium alloy body, a wire retaining loop and a weight of 70 g. It is compatible with ropes from 8 mm to 11 mm. The second image is a dimension drawing of the body.

Manual belay devices of this type create friction by bending the rope sharply through the slot and around the locking carabiner; the belayer's brake hand provides the stopping force. They are used for lead and top-rope belaying at climbing walls and crags, and for abseiling. In Europe, belay devices with purely manual control are covered by EN 15151-2, while devices with assisted locking fall under EN 15151-1.

Before ordering, buyers should confirm the rope diameter range for their target market, whether single or double-rope use is intended, and any certification they will hold under their own brand.
