AAD-0328-L Aluminium Alloy Hand Ascender

The AAD-0328-L ascender has an aluminium alloy frame with a moulded handle and a toothed cam, weighs 210 g and works on ropes from 8 to 13 mm. The product photograph shows the AAD-0328 design in matching left- and right-hand versions; the -L code is the counterpart of AAD-0328-R, and buyers should confirm handedness when ordering.

Handled ascenders are the upper half of a rope-climbing system: the user slides the device up the rope, stands in a foot loop attached to it and then advances the chest ascender. They are also used to haul, to build simple progress-capture systems and as a second point of attachment on fixed lines. Toothed-cam devices must only be loaded statically.
