AAD-0327-L Left-Hand Aluminium Ascender, SS304 Cam
The AAD-0327-L is a left-hand handled ascender with an aluminium alloy frame and a stainless steel 304 cam, rated at 6 kN breaking strength. It works on 8 to 12 mm ropes and is used for ascending fixed lines in rope access, caving, arborist work and rescue.

Product details
AAD-0327-L is the left-hand model of the AAD-0327 series. It combines an aluminium alloy frame with a cam in stainless steel 304, weighs 231 g and is compatible with ropes from 8 mm to 12 mm. Its listed breaking strength is 6 kN, higher than the 4 kN quoted for the AAD-0329 series, which makes it a candidate where a brand wants extra margin in its rope-clamp range.
A stainless steel cam resists corrosion in wet caves, marine sites and humid climates, while the aluminium frame keeps weight down. As with any toothed-cam device, the ascender is designed for static loading on rope and is normally used in a system with a chest ascender, foot loop and back-up.
