Product details
AAD-0329-R is the right-hand partner to AAD-0329L. The frame is aluminium alloy in an anodised standard finish, the device weighs 250 g and it accepts ropes from 8 mm to 13 mm. The minimum breaking strength is listed as 4 kN, a level typical of toothed-cam rope clamps, whose rating describes the grip on rope rather than the strength of the metal.
In a rope-climbing system the handled ascender is moved up the rope and loaded through a foot loop, then the chest ascender is advanced. The same device can be used as a hauling grab or a temporary attachment point. Like all ascenders it is designed for static loads and should not be relied on to arrest a fall.
