SS8042 304 Stainless Steel Eye Plate with Opening

SS8042 is an eye plate whose eye is left open, so a line, elastic cord or ring can be hooked in and released without threading. It is made in AISI 304 stainless steel, bright polished, with sink (countersunk) fixing holes. Three sizes are listed by D: 5, 6 and 8 mm. A1 runs from 33 to 50 mm, A2 from 19.5 to 29.5 mm, H from 20 to 32 mm and S from 8 to 14 mm, with hole diameter d of 4.2 mm on the 5 and 6 mm sizes and 5.2 mm on the 8 mm size.

The open eye is particularly useful for boat, cockpit and trailer covers, awning lacing and anywhere shock cord is hooked on and off frequently. Its A1, A2 and H figures match the closed-eye SS8040, so both can be used on the same installation. Grade 304 with a bright polish suits visible deck and interior positions.

As an open fitting with no listed load rating, it is intended for light securing only. Power Honour can supply the SS8042 under a private label or adapt the opening to a customer drawing.
