SS580 316 Stainless Steel Eye Bolt, DIN 580 Pattern

SS580 is an eye bolt in AISI 316 stainless steel made to the same pattern as DIN 580, the German standard for collar eye bolts. Six thread sizes are listed: M6, M8, M10, M12, M16 and M20. L runs from 41 to 102 mm and L1 from 13 to 30 mm, with C from 6 to 20 mm, B from 16 to 40 mm, H from 18 to 72 mm and D2 from 17 to 40 mm.

The collar seats the bolt squarely on the surface when it is screwed fully home into a tapped hole, which is how eye bolts of this pattern are fitted to machinery, housings, moulds, frames and marine equipment. Grade 316 resists corrosion in wash-down, outdoor and coastal environments.

DIN 580 is a lifting eye bolt standard, but no load rating is published for this stainless version, so the rated load for each size must be confirmed in writing before any lifting use, and the bolt must be fully seated with the load in the plane of the eye.
