SS582 316 Stainless Steel Eye Nut, DIN 582 Pattern

SS582 is an eye nut in AISI 316 stainless steel made to the same pattern as DIN 582, the German standard for lifting eye nuts. Six thread sizes are listed: M6, M8, M10, M12, M16 and M20. C runs from 8 to 16 mm, B from 20 to 40 mm, H from 36 to 72 mm and D2 from 20 to 40 mm; the M6 and M8 sizes share the same body dimensions.

An eye nut turns a suitable threaded stud or bolt end into an attachment point, which is useful on machinery, enclosures, frames, marine fittings and architectural tension systems where a removable eye is needed. Grade 316 keeps the fitting serviceable outdoors and in coastal air. DIN 582 eye nuts are lifting components, but no load rating is published for this stainless version, so the working load must be confirmed in writing before it is used to lift anything, and the usual rules on full thread engagement and load direction for eye nuts apply.
