SS323 304 Stainless Steel Diamond Eye Plate

The SS323 shares its diamond base with the SS322 but, as the product photograph shows, carries a fixed eye rather than a ring. It is made from AISI 304 stainless steel with sink (countersunk) holes. Three sizes are listed by D: 5, 6 and 8 mm, with A from 37 to 50 mm, B from 59 to 80 mm and H from 22 to 33 mm. The table also gives a second height (12, 15 and 20 mm), W (11, 15 and 18 mm) and hole diameter d (4.2, 4.2 and 5.2 mm).

A fixed eye keeps the fitting low and free of rattles, and suits a snap hook, shackle or lashing that stays attached. On boats it is used for cover and bimini tie-downs, fender lines and light line leads; ashore, for awnings, shade sails at light loads, cargo nets and wall fixings. Grade 304 suits sheltered marine and general outdoor use.

No load rating is listed, so the plate is not intended for lifting or personal fall protection. Power Honour can supply the SS323 under a private label or produce a different base or eye size to a drawing.
