SS7050 304 Stainless Steel Wire Rope Thimble
The SS7050 is a wire rope thimble in AISI 304 stainless steel, listed in fifteen sizes from 2 mm to 25 mm. Fitted inside a spliced or clipped eye, it keeps the rope's bend open and protects it from wear where it meets a shackle, hook or fitting.

SS7050 thimbles are made in AISI 304 stainless steel and listed in fifteen sizes: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22 and 25 mm. For each size the drawing gives A (7.0 to 54.0 mm), B (12 to 92 mm), C (21 to 125 mm), D (5.0 to 34.0 mm) and E (3 to 26 mm), so the thimble can be matched to both the rope diameter and the pin or hook it must fit.
A thimble supports the inside of a wire rope eye, preventing the rope from flattening or kinking around a shackle pin and spreading wear over a smooth groove. Thimbles are used with wire rope clips such as SS9201, ferrules or splices on balustrade and fencing wire, guy wires, marine rigging and general wire rope work. Grade 304 suits most outdoor applications.
Thimbles protect the termination but do not carry a load rating of their own. Buyers should state rope size and quantity; Power Honour can supply the SS7050 under a private label or to a customer drawing, including other rope sizes.
