AP-084 Hot-Forged Aluminium Alloy Pulley

The AP-084 has forged aluminium alloy side plates, a 25 kN breaking strength and a 13 mm maximum rope size. The product photograph places it beside the AP-083, and AP-084 is the more compact of the two, which suits users who want a smaller pulley on the harness while keeping the same listed rating and rope capacity.

Compact pulleys are typically used for redirects, rope-access rescue kits, progress points in haul systems and arborist rigging where weight and bulk count. When planning the system, note that a rope turning 180 degrees around a pulley can load the attachment point with nearly twice the line tension. In the European market, mountaineering pulleys are covered by EN 12278.

Because AP-083 and AP-084 share their published figures, buyers should request dimension drawings and samples to compare sheave diameter and weight, and specify colour, marking and certification requirements.
