AP-083 Hot-Forged Aluminium Alloy Pulley

AP-083 is the larger sibling of AP-084 in the product photograph, while both share a 25 kN breaking strength, hot-forged aluminium alloy construction and a 13 mm maximum rope size. A larger pulley generally allows a bigger sheave, which bends the rope less sharply and lowers friction in haul systems; buyers should confirm the actual sheave diameter from the drawing.

Hot forging produces side plates with a continuous grain structure, giving good strength-to-weight for equipment carried by rescue teams, rope access crews and arborists. AP-083 suits main redirects, haul systems and rope-tensioning applications. In Europe, mountaineering pulleys are covered by EN 12278, and buyers usually define the certification route for the finished product.
