Product details
Three sizes are listed for the 5000A type C clevis hook. The 7-8 mm hook has a working load limit of 2.0 ton and weighs 0.40 kg; the 10 mm version is rated at 3.2 ton and 0.85 kg; and the 13 mm version at 5.4 ton and 1.75 kg. Minimum breaking load is four times the WLL.
The clevis allows the hook to be pinned directly to a chain link, while the C-shaped body provides an open hook for engaging lifting points. It can be compared with the Grade 80 clevis C hook 7300A, which covers a wider size range up to 16-8. Typical uses are chain slings and rigging assemblies for construction, material handling and plant maintenance. The 5000A is lifting hardware and is not intended for personal fall protection.
When specifying, confirm the chain diameter and grade, the type of lifting point the hook will engage and whether a latch is required. The 5000A can be produced as OEM or private label, or adapted to a customer drawing.
