The 4800A eye sling hook with latch is listed in three inch sizes. The 9/32-5/16 in hook has a working load limit of 4400 lb and weighs 0.50 kg; the 3/8 in hook is rated at 7700 lb and 1.04 kg; and the 1/2 in hook at 12000 lb and 1.91 kg. Minimum breaking load is four times the WLL.
The eye end joins a connecting link, master link or thimble, and the latch closes the hook throat to help retain a slack sling. These hooks are used on chain and wire rope slings for construction, logistics and general lifting. The 4800A is lifting hardware, not fall-arrest equipment.
