The 5100A clevis sling hook with latch is listed for four chain sizes: 1/4 in with a working load limit of 3500 lb and a net weight of 0.95 lb, 3/8 in at 7100 lb and 2.15 lb, 1/2 in at 12000 lb and 4.35 lb, and 5/8 in at 18100 lb and 8.00 lb. Minimum breaking load is four times the WLL.
The clevis pins directly to the end link of the chain, and the latch closes the throat to help retain a slack sling or lifting point. Hooks of this type are the standard lower fitting on chain slings used in construction, manufacturing and maintenance lifting. The 5100A is lifting hardware and should not be used as fall protection equipment.
