Six sizes are published for the 4700A eye sling hook with wing. The 6-8 hook is rated at 1.5 ton and weighs only 0.135 kg; the 7/8-8 at 2.0 ton; the 10-8 at 3.2 ton; the 13-8 at 5.4 ton; the 16-8 at 8.2 ton; and the 20-8 at 12.8 ton with a net weight of 3.880 kg. Minimum breaking load is four times the working load limit.
Buyers should check the drawing to see how the wing relates to the latch or hook body before specifying it. The eye end connects to chain through a connecting link, or to a master link or thimble. Uses include chain and wire rope slings for construction, logistics and general lifting. The 4700A is lifting hardware and is not designed for personal fall protection.
In an RFQ, give the chain size and grade, the connector that will join the eye and marking requirements. The 4700A can be supplied as OEM or private label, or to a drawing.
