Three models make up the 5400A "D V" hook range. The DV30 is rated at a working load limit of 3.0 ton and weighs 0.7 kg, the DV50 at 5.0 ton and 1.1 kg, and the DV80 at 8.0 ton and 1.6 kg. The model number tracks the rating, which makes selection straightforward. All three are specified with a minimum breaking load of four times the WLL.
The DV hooks sit in the lifting components range alongside the Grade 80 hooks and are used in lifting and rigging assemblies for construction, logistics and industrial handling. The grade, connection type, throat opening and any latch should be confirmed on the drawing for the intended use. The 5400A is lifting hardware, not fall protection equipment.
