Product details

B276K is formed from 9 mm aluminium alloy bar into the 100 x 56 mm B27 frame. It weighs 40 g, opens to 24 mm and is listed at 22 kN. The product photo shows a bent solid gate.

A bent gate curves into the basket and guides the rope in during fast clipping, which is why bent-gate carabiners are normally fitted to the rope end of a quickdraw. They should not be used on the bolt end, where the curved gate can be levered open by a hanger. The wide 24 mm opening gives a large target when clipping on steep ground.

Pair B276K with B274K, pictured with a straight gate, for a matched quickdraw; B275WR offers a wire-gate alternative and B271K a locking model on the same frame.
