B271K Aluminium Alloy Carabiner, 9 mm Bar

B271K is the locking model of the B27 family. It is formed from 9 mm aluminium alloy bar into a 100 x 56 mm frame, has a 16 mm gate opening, weighs 50 g and is listed at 22 kN. The product photo and drawing show a locking sleeve on the gate.

The 9 mm bar keeps the frame slim and light. As on most small lockers, the sleeve reduces the usable opening, so B271K is best suited to single connections such as a belay device, a personal anchor, a tool or a pack rather than crowded anchor points.

The B27 frame is shared with B274K, pictured with a straight solid gate, B276K, pictured with a bent gate, and the wire-gate B275WR, which together form a complete set of quickdraw and locking carabiners on one geometry. Confirm the locking mechanism on the drawing when ordering and state the certification your market requires, colours and marking. Brands can source B271K as a private-label item or use it as the starting point for a design built to their own drawing.
