A12222KNS 7075 Aluminium Key-Lock Straight-Gate Carabiner

A12222KNS uses the 104.5 x 68 mm, 7075 aluminium alloy frame of the A12222 series with a straight solid gate. It weighs 55 g, opens to 21 mm and is listed at 24 kN major axis, 8 kN minor axis and 8 kN gate open.

The straight gate is the conventional choice for the end of a quickdraw that clips the bolt hanger, since it resists being levered open by the hanger better than a bent gate. The key-lock nose removes the notch that could otherwise catch on the hanger, sling or rope. The frame is larger than the compact A12220KNS, giving more room for gloved hands and thicker slings.

Use it with A12222KNB on the rope end for a matched quickdraw, or alongside the screw-gate A12222KSG for a consistent family. As a non-locking connector it is not for belaying. Buyers should state the certification target, any sling assembly and the colour and marking required.
