A2552NS Aluminium Straight-Gate Carabiner

With a straight solid gate, a 21 mm opening and a weight of 55 g, the A2552NS is the straight-gate partner to the bent-gate A2552NB. It is made from aluminium alloy and rated 25 kN on the major axis, with 9 kN for minor-axis and gate-open loading.

A straight gate is less prone than a bent gate to being pushed open by a bolt hanger, so this model usually goes on the bolt end of a quickdraw. It is equally useful for racking nuts, slings and other protection on a harness gear loop.

When ordering a quickdraw set, buyers should give each end a distinct colour or marking so that the bolt-end carabiner is never moved to the rope end, where a hanger-worn edge could damage the rope. Power Honour can produce the A2552NS for OEM or private-label programmes, or modify it to a drawing.
