Rated 25 kN on the major axis with 9 kN for minor-axis and gate-open loading, the A2550KTL is the auto-locking version of the A2550KSG. Its twist-lock sleeve adds 10 g, bringing the weight to 80 g, while the 19 mm gate opening and aluminium alloy construction stay the same. The keylock nose has no hook to snag on ropes or slings.

Auto-locking gates are favoured where carabiners are opened and closed many times a day, for example in climbing gyms, guiding and instruction, because the gate locks itself every time it closes.
