A2552NB Aluminium Bent-Gate Carabiner

The A2552NB is a 55 g aluminium alloy carabiner with a solid bent gate and a 22 mm gate opening. Its breaking strengths are listed as 25 kN on the major axis and 9 kN for both minor-axis and gate-open loading.

The curved gate guides the rope into the carabiner, which is why bent-gate models are placed on the rope end of sport-climbing quickdraws. Paired with the A2552NS straight-gate version on the bolt end, it forms a matched set, and the A2552SG adds a locking model in the same series.
