SS913 316 Stainless Steel D Shackle with Square Head Pin

SS913 is a D (dee) shackle in AISI 316 stainless steel whose screw pin has a square head. Five sizes are listed by A: 7 mm (9/32 in.), 8 mm (5/16 in.), 9 mm (3/8 in.), 10 mm (13/32 in.) and 12 mm (15/32 in.). B and D both run from 14 mm to 24 mm, and overall length L from 28 mm to 48 mm.

The square head can be gripped with a spanner or shackle key, which makes it easier to tighten the pin firmly and, where needed, to secure it with seizing wire. This suits standing connections on deck fittings, anchor and mooring gear, and fixed rigging points. Grade 316 is specified for its resistance to chloride corrosion. No breaking or working load is published for SS913, so the shackle should not be used for lifting or fall protection without a confirmed rating.

SS912 is the same shackle with a sink head (countersunk) pin. Power Honour can supply either under a private label or adapted to a customer drawing.
