SS901 304 Stainless Steel Stamped Flat Shackle

Instead of a round bow, the SS901 has a flat body stamped from AISI 304 stainless steel. Seven sizes are listed. B ranges from 15 mm to 40 mm, C from 10 mm to 20 mm, D from 4 mm to 8 mm and material thickness from 1.5 mm to 4.0 mm; most sizes use 2.0 mm stock, with 1.5 mm on the smallest and 4.0 mm on the largest.

The flat profile sits closely against fabric and webbing, which is why stamped shackles are common on boat covers, biminis, dodgers, bags and light deck fittings. The product photograph shows a flat-headed pin that can be turned by hand. Grade 304 suits sheltered marine and outdoor use; for constant immersion, a 316 part is the usual choice. No load rating is given, so these are for light connections rather than lifting or personal protection.
