SS4826 Stainless Steel Cable Tensioner for 8 mm Lifelines

Every horizontal lifeline needs a means of tensioning the cable after it is anchored, and in this range the SS4826 fills that role. It is made of stainless steel and is compatible with 8 mm rope. A version with a tension indicator is listed as the SS4827.

Cable tension affects how a lifeline behaves: too slack and the line sags and deflects further in a fall, increasing the clearance needed below the user; too tight and the forces on the end anchors rise. The tensioner lets the installer reach the pre-tension specified by the system designer and re-adjust it during inspections. It is typically fitted near an end anchor together with a terminal and a shock absorber, on roofs, walkways, gantries and via ferrata traverses.

Buyers should request the drawing for the adjustment range, thread and end fittings, and confirm compatibility with their terminals and anchors. The pre-tension value and inspection interval should come from the system documentation. The SS4826 can be supplied as OEM or private label, or adapted to a drawing.
