SS4827 Stainless Steel Cable Tensioner with Indicator

The SS4827 adds a tension indicator to the cable tensioner function of the SS4826. It is a horizontal lifeline component made of stainless steel and compatible with 8 mm rope.

An indicator gives a visual check of cable tension without separate measuring equipment, which is useful at installation and during the periodic inspections that lifelines require. Correct pre-tension keeps sag and deflection within the limits assumed in the system design, so the user has the expected clearance and the end anchors see the expected forces. Tensioners of this type are installed near an end anchor with the terminal and shock absorber, on roofs, facades, walkways and via ferrata routes.

Buyers should request the drawing and instructions to see how the indicator reads and at what tension it is set, and confirm that the indicated tension matches their system calculation. Installation and inspection should be carried out by a competent person. The SS4827 can be supplied as OEM or private-label product, or modified to a customer drawing.
