The CRM-12-C is a versatile mountaineering crampon: 12 steel points, PU components, a combi binding and a removable anti-snow plate. The binding pairs a toe cradle with a heel lever, so it locks firmly onto boots that have a heel welt, even if the toe is rounded.
Combi crampons are a popular middle ground for retailers, because they fit more boot models than step-in designs while giving a better heel hold than straps. The anti-snow plate helps keep the underside clear of balled snow in wet conditions and can be removed when not needed. Steel points handle hard ice and rocky sections well.
